Circa 1938 to 1942: It's the number four Fiesta
nesting bowl that really starts to take on some size. By the time you reach the number seven your at 11" wide, but the #4 is your classic sized kitchen bowl, perfect for almost any task and with the great high walls that are unique to the fiesta
design, spill proof and great for mixing. Clay body was pressed into a mold and the inside rings were made by hand tooling on a jiggering machine. This example in the original yellow is in excellent condition. It's always a treat to find the original yellow covering such a great expanse of pottery without any misses, runs, thinness or irregularity. This example is just great with a rich, bold and even glaze, without scratches to mar its surface (please note one sand bump on the inside bottom of the bowl, shown in the 3rd picture at about 5 o'clock), nothing else to note but a perfect rim, without dings or use. Nicely marked on the bottom in the mold with the embressed "HLC fiesta MADE IN USA 4" . Measures 7 11/16" w x 5 1/16h"
