Circa 1938 to 1942: By the time you reach the #5 Fiesta
mixing bowl you've got yourself a large bowl. Only a couple inches smaller than the #7 grandaddy of them all, the #5 nesting bowl commands a presence. There is something about the vintage Fiesta
bowl in the way it swells outwards and has thinner walls than expected that makes it larger and able to hold more than other types of bowls of the same size. Combine that with it's tall, spill proof walls and you have a kitchen bowl very tempting to use. Luckily, this example in the most desirable color of red doesn't appear to have seen any use.
This bowl shows no scratches, no chips, no dings, no touch-ups or repairs, no cracks and has no signs of use. It's only apology comes from a factory flaw glaze irregularity that shows in a small area on one side (please see pictures number one and ten, front and center, and picture 5 at about 7 o'clock). Otherwise what we have here is just a fantastic large red vintage Fiesta
bowl with a great, rich glaze, wonderful shine and spectacular condition. Another fun one that is marked twice on the bottom, once in the mold with the impressed mark "HCLo fiesta MADE IN USA" and the glaze stamp "GENUINE fiesta MADE IN USA". Measures 8 9/16" w x 5 11/16h"
