Note the long length of the Dripcut lid on this early version of the syrup. An interesting, little known tidbit is that there was an earlier version of the Dripcut lid, as shown here. The handle comes down and almost touches the body of the syrup pitcher. The later versions will look quite different from this, with the handle stopping a little more than a quarter inch away from the body. These earlier lids are quite hard to find and should add some value to the piece. If you like to collect early varities of vintage fiestaware, this red pitcher in excellent condition will delight you. |
