Circa March 1936 - Late 1937.
To use a set of covered onion soup bowls at your dinner table is a rare treat. What a delight to have your own lidded bowl, to uncover to your own perfectly sized bowl of soup. Unfortunately not many were made and Homer Laughlin ended production of the covered onion soup bowl in the fall of 1937. Hand turned foot, round inside bottom, unmarked (as always found in this version), scroll handles hand applied and bowl and lid formed on a jigger. This example in the early red glaze is in spectacular condition and will be a delight to add to your collection. Without damage, flaws or use this piece or early and rare vintage Fiesta is Homer Laughlin Potters at their finest.
