Happy Heidi Vintage Fiesta

Vintage Fiesta 11¾" Fruit Bowl in Original Green | Circa 1938-1946

Circa 1938-1946: The large and shallow fruit bowl was originally designed as part of the Kitchen Kraft line and was named a salad nappie by master potter Frederick Rhead. Meant to be paired with the ceramic fork and spoon in a three piece ensemble, the bowl was instead folded into the fiestaware line. Inside rings were added and the impressed mark "fiesta HLC USA" added to the molds. Only produced for eight years, the large bowl will be found in the first six vintage colors and will be very hard to find in excellent condition without signs of damage or use. This example in the original green glaze is spectacular. It boasts one of the crispest bottom markings and has an exceptionally even green glaze. Please note one small and minor scratch on the inside bottom rings. Marked in the mold "fiesta HLC USA" and measuring an impressive 11 5/16" wide x 3" tall.
